We assess the soft tissues (tongue and lip ties), tongue location and function, as well as the shape of the palate and jaws. When children are very young, these issues can be caught and treated with minimal effort, which can prevent years of breathing, speaking, eating and health issues for a child as they FLY into adolescence and onto adulthood. At Bird Pediatric Dentistry we provide additional care to infants who are struggling to latch or take a bottle, cause severe pain to the mom with breast feeding, clicking or smacking noises when eating, slow or poor weight gain and/or are gassy or colic.
