Advocating for women to take better care of their minds and bodies. New practice goals are to supplement the traditional obstetrical care model and integrate all the amazing resources I'm learning about here in Charlotte, outside of the hospital owned environment. I read about and loved the idea of creating a "postpartum plan" just like many women create registries for the baby's needs or a "birth plan" for the actual delivery. Many women forget about (or don't know) all the other months/years that they need to care about themselves, and much too easily fall by the wayside. I hope to teach women this!
